No Boundaries Mentor Application

Do you have experience running or walking as well as a passion for sharing your knowledge and experiences with others?

We are seeking Mentors for our No Boundaries and No Boundaries 2.0 Training Program!

The Fleet Feet Sports Cincinnati Mentor Team is a passionate group of walkers and runners who help in-active people and beginner runners and walkers reach their goal of living a healthier lifestyle through running and walking.  We are looking for Mentors who can motivate others, have a passion for walking and running, and are ready to make a huge difference in people’s lives!  We also love mentors who are familiar with Fleet Feet Sports Cincinnati's business and/or have been a customer in the past.

What is a Mentor?

A Mentor is an invaluable resource to our training program participants and an "on the road" coach and representative of Fleet Feet Sports Cincinnati. Mentors attend every group workout throughout a training program to provide support to their group of participants.  Their main responsibilities include: offering positive energy and a positive attitude to the group, road safety support, keeping an assigned approximate pace while walking or running, educating participants about the benefits and solutions that Fleet Feet Sports offers.

You have two locations to choose from!  This means we are looking for mentors for Fleet Feet Sports Blue Ash AND Fleet Feet Sports Oakley. Oakley will train on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm and Saturdays at 7:30 am. Blue Ash will train on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm and Saturdays at 7:30 am. *Please note, while the participants can switch between the two locations, we ask that you commit to one as a mentor.

Mentor Requirements:

  • Can motivate others in a positive way
  • Has a passion for helping others get through tough challenges
  • Has run or walked at least 2 races (distance unimportant)
  • Are able to attend at least 80% of all training workouts
  • Has an email account and is willing to use it for training purposes
  • Committed to following the assigned workout and not conducting their own workout
  • Can maintain a desired pace or has access to GPS watch for pace guidance
  • Is a people person and has a desire to help others achieve their goals
