Our Coaches and store staff are your greatest assets and will literally be with you every step of the way. But the support doesn't stop there. You will have a group of dedicated Pace Group Leaders and Mentors that will not only set specific paces during group runs, but provide you with valuable information, tips, advice, motivation, safety, and wisdom - and the occasional entertainment!
The truth is our Mentors and Pace Group Leaders are flat out awesome. They share the same passion, dedication and love for running, walking, fitness and achieving goals as our Head Coaches and staff. Each one of them has been selected for their roles because of the unique qualities they offer. While training with us, every participant will be personally touched and coached along the way, and we pride ourselves in our Mentor, Pace Group Leader, and Coach to participant ratio.
Brian has been a Fleet Feet Sports Pace Group Leader for the past 2 years and is in his first season of coaching. He comes from a running family. He started his running career in High School participating in both cross country & track. He then joined the Fleet Feet Training Programs while attending Miami University. He brings a fun & technical approach to the group by balancing the importance of proper training with the enjoyment of group workouts and camaraderie.
Katie has been a part of the Fleet Feet Cincinnati family for almost a decade, both as an in-store team member and coach. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to getting started with a walking or running program and knows the best way to motivate people to keep them going. She is known for providing a welcoming environment to our beginners, but knowing when to push them to give a good challenge. While much of her focus over the years have been with newer runners and walkers Katie is fully experienced and qualified to coach and encourage all runners at any level.
After coaching the St. Xavier High School Cross Country Team to consecutive top ten finishes at the Nike Cross Country Championships, Mike took an administrative role that didn’t allow him to coach. Quite simply, after four years away, he missed it! When he's been asked to create plans or give advice to some of his former runners, he's jumped at the chance. So, whether someone’s aspiration is qualifying for Boston or running a personal best, his goal is to help others achieve a great marathon result and his knowledge and experience is primed to help them achieve success.
We're not joking when we say Jen is the glue that holds our Training Programs together! Jen not only keeps all of our training programs organized and running smoothly, she also works with our sponsors, arranges special events and generally makes our programs great! She joined Fleet Feet as a participant in 2015 training for the Flying Pig while raising awareness for Type 1 diabetes; a chronic illness that 3 out of my 4 children have. Jen loved the group runs so much she became a PGL in the Fall and eventually joined the Fleet Feet Team as the Logistics & Operations Coordinator. She enjoy working with the local races that Fleet Feet sponsors but nothing feels better than helping participants reach their goals, share their ups and downs and ultimately become family. Jen is most excited to meet, work with, and cheer you on as we train to cross the Finish Swine!
With more than 80 "PGL's" and Mentors between both store locations and all paces, it is safe to say we have you covered while out on the roads - no matter your pace!
