Running Highlights:    I've learned (sometimes the hard way), that being a strong runner means balancing running with strength training and cross training…and running the right amount of days and miles.  I love running so it's always the main focus in my training, but I also like yoga, swimming and spinning.  My current training program is a mix of running (long, speed/hills, easy), strength training to support running, and yoga for stretching and flexibility.

Say Something Winnie: I started out running and training on my own.  I had runner friends to talk to about training, but ran alone.  I relocated to Cincinnati in 2011, and started seeing all these training groups running around my neighborhood in Blue Ash.  So I came into Fleet Feet to learn more, and signed up for a training program.  I trained alone for my first marathon and with Fleet Feet for my second, and it was a remarkably different experience.  Training for the first one alone was incredibly hard, and I don’t think I would have made it through a second one without the Fleet Feet group.
